Aylin (Oyan) Salahshoor is a multilingual Toronto-based actor and playwright with an international acting training from Barcelona and Athens concentrating on physical and interactive theatre. In Canada, she is pursuing a master’s degree in Drama, Theatre, and Performance Studies-Diaspora & Transnational at University of Toronto. Aylin is the first prize winner of the Norma Epstein Foundation Awards in Creative Writing for her play Minor Punctuations, and Meyer Greenstein Award for writing excellence for The Singular Subject. She has performed in several theatre productions in Toronto, most recently in English (Soulpepper Theatre and Segal Centre) the 9428 (Toronto Fringe Festival – July 2022), Heart of a Dog (Next Stage – Toronto Fringe Festival, January 2022), The Monster I learned to Love (Toronto Fringe Theatre Festival 2020), Swim Team (Theatre Centre, November 2019).
